Before David conquered Goliath, he first decreed into the atmosphere what he wanted to see happen to him. Although Goliath was twice bigger, stronger and taller than David, that did not intimidate him. This is what David decreed and declared before the battle started; “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands…So David prevailed over the Philistine” (1 Samuel 17:45-46 & 50). After the pronouncement and declaration the battle started and it happened to Goliath as David decreed.

The words that you speak will never come back to you void; it must accomplish its assignment. Listen to what God says in Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” If you pay close attention to what happened between David and Goliath, you will discover that immediately David concluded his pronouncement the battle started, and victory was won by David.

For the Devil to intercept your declaration from coming to pass, the Lord is ready to send the heavenly guard, the battalions of the host of heaven, the angels, and all these combined to make sure your declaration comes to pass. Even if God has to do it Himself He will. All you have to do is decree and declare a thing into the atmosphere and “IT IS DONE!” The word you speak is like a fire, or a hammer, or a bulldozer. It cannot be stopped until your prophesy comes to pass as stated in Jeremiah 23:29 that “Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” So as the popular adage goes “Be careful what you ask for because you might get it.” If you know you are going to get what you say why don’t you say the Word of God? You should never be consumed by what people say or think about you. It is not what they say to you or about you that determines your future; it’s what you say to or decree about yourself after others get through with you!

If they say negative things about or to you, reject it and send it back to the sender through the word of your mouth backed by the Scriptures. Your tongue is dynamite and is also more powerful than any weapon ever made and will ever be made by mankind. The Bible says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21). You probably say DEATH and LIFE? Yes! This is the clear distinction between Jesus and the Devil. The devil came to bring sorrow but Jesus came to give life and restore all the devil has stolen from you and your family. The Bible says in John 10:10 that “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
